More Info on John Wooten's "Songs In The Key Of J"

Below is John's description of his debut CD titled "Songs In The Key Of J".
If you're interested please give him a call this weekend.

The CD set comprises one with 11 vocals and one with 14 instrumentals. I composed all except one of the songs, and I arranged, produced and performed all of the songs, using 3 sequenced synthesizers for keyboards, organs, flutes, violins, electric guitars, brass and percussion sets.

Through sequencing, the music truly sounds like a full 6 - 8 member band. The styles are jazzy/easy listening. The lyrics are principally Christian.

Many people who previewed the music advise that the instrumental versions of several could easily be featured on cool jazz and easy listening radio stations.

Hmmm...we shall see about that.

Though I have initially produced a couple hundred copies, I'm currently in the market for formal music production and tracking companies, just in case at least one of the songs becomes popular in some format.

Will be in Norfolk Friday - Saturday of this week to attend the memorial service for my eldest sister.

Give Away of the Day, Rufus' Cookout info, John Wooten's CD, NSU Foot Ball

Greetings everyone!
I hope everyone got through the recent downpours without
too much damage. Get ready for a possible round 2 this weekend.
That's if you are on the East Coast.

You may have noticed the large ad in the links column for a site
called "Give Away Of The Day". They give away free software everyday.

Each day there is a different software product available. You have to
download AND install it that day. I have downloaded several programs
that I found useful.

If you go to the site you can opt to receive an email notifying you
of the day's offering. That's all you will get.No sales emails or spam.
I will be taking down the link and moving it to the BTW68 Toolbar which
you can download and install by clicking on the gray band at the top of
the blog page.

In case you overlooked Rufus' email re: his cookout this weekend,
here it is:

"My Fellow Bookers,
As many of you are aware my cookout is this coming Sat. There is a tropical system in the Atlantic but based on what the movement, speed and track direction that I studied this morning with my co-workers I'm still planning on having the cookout Sat. The system is fast moving and should have moved out the area by Sat. afternoon. If the forecast becomes adverse for this area I will shoot another e-mail to you by Friday postponing or canceling the cookout.
Birdlegs"

Our classmate, John Wooten, has made a CD for mass distribution.
It's titled Songs In The Key Of J .
Here is an excerpt from his email with more info:
"...having hundreds of copies of my 2 CD musical project (jazzy, easy listening Christian music) produced for direct sales..."

"Will have some copies available while in Norfolk this weekend -- $15 for the set (vocals and instrumentals). Maybe you or someone you know may be interested. Please help spread the word."

"This has been an exciting journey during which I learned a ton of new things...about music, the Lord, and myself. Wish me well..."
