As you all know, Tuesday,August 23, 2011 gave the East Coast a rare event. An earthquake! 5.8 or 9 on the Richter Scale.
After it was over everyone had a story to tell about how they
were affected and what they were doing at the time. There were few,
if any, injuries and minimal damage so a good laugh was had by all.
As you also know hurricane Irene is heading toward the U.S. East Coast,
and it is quite possible it will make landfall some where along the coast.
We will not be laughing then. The last hurricane was Category 1 Isabelle
in 2003. Irene is predicted to be Cat. 3 0r 4 when or if it strikes. That
is very bad news for millions of people. Those who live inland will not
be spared because of inland flooding.
